Timely Conversations & Scholarship
The Clio Dialogues is a delightful show highlighting new and recently published books by experts by engaging in conversation with the authors and connecting their work to our present moment. Each episode dives into a new topic and is expertly explored by the host and her guest. Episodes are short but packed so you’re left knowing enough about the book to gauge your interest but not too much that you don’t want to buy it for yourself. A must listen for anyone who is a fan of history, nonfiction books, and engaging conversations. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Alycia, Civics & Coffee
Great nuance & complexity
This podcast is so refreshing since every episode is a conversation with a scholar who has taken a deep dive into their topic of interest and we are the lucky recipients! Also the host asks wonderful questions!
Fun & Relevant!
I've enjoyed Clio Dialogues since the beginning. The authors that Jennifer interviews offer a consistent reminder that history is not just names and dates that anyone can google these days. History is relevant and can be quite fun. Even when some of the subjects are serious given their relevance for the world we live in today, history so often offers us humorous moments. Enjoy, and as the tagline says, "history isn't finished with us yet."
Past and present always connect
I get great enjoyment listening to the Clio Dialogues. From the history of facial hair, to the fashion of the Founders, these 30-minute historical sweeps are fun and fascinating and thoughtful. I look forward to what Dr. Jen Terry shares next!
